Coffee Shop Breakfast
But last Tuesday my cousin flew in from Colorado and she, my sister and I decided to go out to breakfast the next day at Groundswell, a coffee shop and small restaurant right in our neighborhood. We're lucky to have it, to say the least. Everything there is utterly delicious and gorgeous to boot. I wish I took some pictures of the place itself, it's full of local artwork and reclaimed wood.
I chose a vanilla latte (not too strong, not too sweet, but no need for sugar-perfect there), and a cinnamon oatmeal pecan muffin, which was awesome. I'm not usually one for oatmeal in my baked goods but I decided to go for it since the chai cinnamon roll seemed a little too sticky for me that day. The muffin was filling but not dense and a bit bready but in a good way, not dry and just sweet enough for it to taste good but still feel healthy, at least.
So I just thought I'd share some coffeeshop photos, since that seems like a pretty bloggy thing to do, and it was a really good breakfast.
