Highschool Kid

A month ago, I started high school. In all honesty, I don't really like it. There are over 2,000 people there, everyone's older than me, and the homework load is insane. And, the "cool kids" are, well, pretty dumb and it's just tough dealing with all the stress, and other people trying to be "grown up." I guess It's time to learn lessons in not caring.

So, today's outfit is inspired by my new sweater, tumblry fall feelings, but also classic school stuff. (socks, stripes?) Or maybe I'm making shit up. I just really like this outfit. And I guess the socks are a bit rebellious cause they're a staple of school uniforms but I probably look like a hooker wearing them with these shorts. Oh well. The one thing I never care about judgement for is what I wear. I've gotten used to that.

But hey, here's a list of things I wasn't told about high school
-The boys still aren't cute
-The boys still aren't taller
-The boys still don't like you
-Making friends is pretty hard
-IT'S SO MUCH WORK
-Good grades, a good night's sleep, a social life: pick one.

Europe Teaser

I can't believe I haven't posted on here since July! I don't really know what to say, but I figured I'd post some photos of my trip to Europe in August.

1. The airplane window over Greenland at sunrise. I like this angle.
2. The whole view of Greenland at sunrise. It was absolutely breathtaking.
3. Some coffee at the airport in Reykjavik to help with the jet lag. A lovely welcome to a new continent as well!
4. A snack of mine on the train from Amsterdam to Dusseldorf. I love this photo as well.
5. Gummy bears on my bed early in the morning at the hotel in Dusseldorf.
6. My sister by the Rhine river
7. A treat in Paris
8. My favorite sunglasses and the Tour Eiffel!
9. Snack stand aux Jardins du Luxembourg
10. Flowers in the Luxembourg Gardens
11. The entryway to the most amazing garden-plot village, in Haarlem just outside of Amsterdam.

Imaginary

Imaginary

I don't own any pretty summer clothes, enough said. So instead of taking good outfit photos, I just sit on polyvore all day.
Oops. Here's my most recent set!

Summer So Far

My internet went down on June 10th and only got fixed yesterday. Plus, I've been dying to do another outfit post or photo shoot but I haven't been able to find the time between tennis, violin lessons, and ballet among other things. I have done some stuff though, and it's safe to say I take my camera everywhere I can!
Me trying out my friend Vivien's cruisers and penny boards at the park. I'm horrible at it. (Hopefully this photo doesn't reveal that)
I just love Vivien's shoes. (And her skateboard, too!)
Trying Starbucks for the first time in almost seven years. (It's not all it's cracked up to be!)
Sophia and Molly walking across a bridge in Minneapolis. We left the Stone Arch bridge festival to go on a little adventure. I really liked their outfits! Especially Sophia's. That little hipster >:)
Enjoying treats from the ice cream truck by the Stone Arch Bridge Festival. Orange Dresmsicles, my favorite!
Mill Ruins Park. Oh, how I wish trespassing on historic city property to take dramatic photos was legal.
Stopping under an overhang at the Guthrie to escape the rain

Bracelet-making was all I ever did without wifi. I'm pretty proud of this one. It was the first time I had tried that design.

Right after the storm cleared. I adore the focus in this.

Despite the Weather

This here is my current favorite outfit. I wore it once, on the last day of school, but the weather here in Saint Paul isn't very easy to cooperate with at the moment. We've only had 16 days of sunlight since April! It's pretty cold, too. I wish I could think more about doing summery things, but it's hard to! At least this outfit offers a nice springy-summery vibe that I definitely can't get from going outside.

The top belongs to my mom, the skirt is from Forever21, and the shoes are from H&M. If you've been reading my blog since I started it, maybe you recognize them from an old shoe wishlist. I just got them a couple of weeks ago on a trip to the Mall of America. They only had one pair left, and they were a size 9.5! Perfect! (Yes, I have rather huge feet!)

Oh, and if you read my blog regularly, whoever you are, please leave a comment! I know most, if not all of my few readers are my close friends, but even then, it's just cool to know you guys are around!!

Blink and it's Over

On Friday, I finished 8th grade. It went by in a total blur. It's hard to believe it really happened! But I got to enjoy it with the greatest friends anyone could ask for. All my new friends, and my old friends that I'd known since elementary school were always there for me. And, my style and photography improved so much! Junior high has been a wonderful experience for me, and I look forward to starting high school this coming September! In the meantime, though, it's probably best to enjoy the present- Summer! Here are some photos of me during the last couple of days of school, kicking off my summer the right way!
Me and Somatra, a new friend of mine from junior high, on our last day. I've always loved her style, and even though you can't see it, her hair is perfect!
Old friends and new friends together for dinner at Buca di Beppo after our last day. I don't know where I'd be without these kids!
A photo of myself that I don't even remember being taken. But after seeing it several of my friends told me I should be a model. Maybe I'll look into that.
Me modeling for photos so that my friend Maya could use my camera
Some editing I did once I had too much time on my hands. It's hard knowing what to do without deadlines!

Spring Wishlist

It's wishlist time, I think. Looks like I'm really into pink right now. Have a great weekend!

Levitation Nation

One of my favorite photo manipulation projects is making levitation photos, or photos in which I look like I'm floating. Enjoy some surreal eye candy, or try making one yourself! I even made a tutorial a few months back.

Un de mes projets  préférés de photographie est de faire des photos dans lesquels il semble que je flotte. Ce sont quelques exemples que j'ai fait cet année.

Instagram Again

A look into my life via my personal account instagram photos.

Yeah, I Wore That to School

Hello few readers, I'm back after a spur of un-motivation by a friend of mine who didn't like my blog. These photos are from mid-March. Yes, I wore that to school. Bandanna and all.

Top: Vintage (80s Disneyland souvenir shirt from my mom)
Sweater: $17, Forever21
Jeans: $21(?) Forever21
Boots: $89, DSW
Bandanna: $3, Rewind Vintage

Yeah, sometimes things take confidence to pull off. This bandanna definitely did- I had to stop my sister and a couple of other girls from throwing in the cafeteria trash can. But this outfit as a whole is one of my favorites- it just has some all-American flair to it, from the flag to the fringe boots.
